How to Get IPTV on an LG Smart TV, One Menu at a Time

How to set up ZorbaIPTV on LG Smart TV, in 12 beginner steps

1. Check your webOS version

   Press the Settings button on the remote and choose All Settings. Open General or Support, depending on the year, then TV Information. Note the webOS version and model number. Very old LG sets that run NetCast instead of webOS have almost no player choice; for those, a streaming stick is the better route.

2. Update the TV software

   In All Settings, open Support, then Software Update, and install anything waiting. Turn on automatic updates while you are there. Newer webOS releases show more apps and play more stream types. Paths are accurate at the time of writing (October 2026) and can shift with updates.

3. Sign in to an LG account

   The store needs an LG account. Create one on your phone first, then sign in on the TV under All Settings, General, LG Account. The TV may offer a QR code; scanning it with your phone is the quickest way to sign in.

4. Open the store and search

   Press Home and open Apps. On older sets it is called LG Content Store. Point the Magic Remote at the search icon and type IPTV Smarters. If IPTV Smarters Pro is listed, install it. If not, search Smart IPTV. Choose apps with a clear developer name and skip anything promising free channels.

5. IPTV Smarters Pro: pick Xtream Codes

   Open Smarters and choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Xtream Codes is the three-box login: server address, username and password. ZorbaIPTV sends this format by default, and it loads channels, guide data and the on-demand library in one pass.

6. IPTV Smarters Pro: point and type

   Use the Magic Remote like a mouse to click each box and the on-screen keys. Give the profile a name such as ZorbaIPTV. Type the username and password, then the server address from http:// through to the port number. Check capital letters, then click Add User.

7. Smart IPTV: note the MAC address

   Open Smart IPTV. It shows a MAC address, a unique code for your TV made of letters and numbers. Take a photo of it. Smart IPTV does not take the Xtream login; it uses the M3U link, a single web address that holds the whole channel list.

8. Smart IPTV: send the playlist from your phone

   On your phone, go to siptv.app/mylist. Enter the MAC address exactly as shown, paste the ZorbaIPTV M3U link and press Send. Close Smart IPTV on the TV and reopen it. After the trial period, its developer asks for a one-time activation fee for the app.

9. Wait for the first load

   The first launch downloads the full channel list and guide. Older LG processors can take several minutes. Do not click around while it loads. Every launch after this one only checks for changes and opens faster.

10. Check channels, guide and picture

    Open Live TV and confirm the groups appear on the left. Program names should show beside channels; if they do not, wait for the guide data and check the TV clock. Play a familiar channel for a few minutes. A steady, clear picture means you are done.

11. Set the clock and save favorites

    Open All Settings, General, System, Time and Date, and set it to automatic so guide times are correct. Then, in Smarters, add the channels you watch most to favorites. Roll the Magic Remote wheel to move through long lists quickly.

Picking a player on an LG TV

On an LG TV, start with IPTV Smarters Pro if the store lists it. It takes the Xtream login on the TV and separates live channels, movies and series. Picture pausing or slow to start? Check these first

• Your connection: nothing beats a network cable. On wireless, choose the 5 GHz network and keep the router no more than a room or two away.
• Other traffic at home: large downloads, game updates and cloud backups all share the same line. Pause them while you watch.
• The app: close it fully and reopen it. If the player has a buffer setting, raising it one step can help.
• The device: restart the stick, box or TV. Small streaming sticks run better after a fresh start.
• The channel: some channels come in more than one version. Try another, then tell us which one gave you trouble.

Common LG Smart TV setup problems and how to fix them

Apps shows no IPTV players

The store shows apps for the country set on the TV. Check the region under All Settings, General, then search again. If the list is still empty, tell us your webOS version or add a streaming stick on HDMI.

Smarters rejects the login

Pointer typing invites near-miss keys. Retype the server address from http:// to the port number, check password capitals and clear any old autofill. An ended trial also fails, because nothing renews by itself.

Smart IPTV does not show the playlist

Make sure the MAC on siptv.app matches the TV exactly, including every letter. Send the playlist again, then fully close and reopen the app. Restart the TV if it still shows the old list.

Live TV opens to an empty screen

A large list takes time on the first launch. Wait a few minutes and reopen the app. Still nothing? Remove the Smarters user, add it again with the three Xtream lines and give it time.

Sound but no picture

The TV cannot decode that particular stream. Update the app and the TV software, then try another version of the channel. If the player has a decoder or engine option, switch it. Tell us which channel fails.

The guide is an hour out

Set Time and Date to automatic and check the time zone, then restart the player. Daylight saving changes are the usual trigger for this.

The app hangs on its logo

webOS standby can leave memory full. Unplug the TV for a minute, plug it back in and open the app again. If it still hangs, delete the app, reinstall it from Apps and re-enter the login.

The picture stutters on Wi-Fi

LG TV Wi-Fi often struggles through walls. Use an Ethernet cable or the 5 GHz band, pause downloads on other devices and restart the TV. Send us the channel name if just one is affected.
