How to set up iMPlayer, in 12 beginner steps

1. Check which iMPlayer your device needs

   At the time of writing (October 2026), the developer lists iMPlayer TV for Android TV and Google TV, iMPlayer Mobile for Android phones and tablets, and an iMPlayer app in Apple's App Store. Fire TV and Apple TV support has varied between versions. Check the official iMPlayer site or your device store before you rely on it.

2. Install it on Android TV or Google TV

   Open the Google Play Store on the TV, search for iMPlayer and pick the TV edition from the official developer. Press Install, then Open. If you cannot find it in the store on your device, the official website lists the current download options.

3. Install it on a Fire TV Stick

   Look in the Amazon Appstore on the stick first. If iMPlayer is not listed for your model, Fire TV owners often install Android TV apps with the free Downloader app, after turning on Install unknown apps. 4. Install it on iPhone or iPad

   Open the App Store, search for iMPlayer IPTV Player and check the developer name before tapping Get. The app is free to download and lists in-app purchases for premium. Then open it. Apple TV owners should search the App Store on the Apple TV itself, as availability can differ.

5. Open the app and choose to add a playlist

   On first launch, iMPlayer asks you to add a playlist. Some versions also offer to add it from a web page using a code shown on screen. Typing it on the device works on every version, so this guide uses that route. Choose the Xtream or Xtream Codes option.

6. Type the server URL

   In the URL or Server field, type the server URL from our WhatsApp message. It starts with http:// and ends with a colon and a port number, such as :8080. Nothing goes after the port. Keep http as http. Check the whole line against the message.

7. Type the username, password and a name

   Enter the username and password exactly as sent, minding capital letters. If the app asks for a playlist name, type ZorbaIPTV. Then press Add, Save or Next, depending on the version. The app checks the details with our server.

8. Wait for the first load to finish

   iMPlayer now downloads live channels, movies, series and the TV guide. On a phone this is quick. On a small TV stick it can take a couple of minutes. Leave it alone until the home screen fills with posters and channel rows.

9. Run a two-minute first-run check

   Open Live TV, choose any group and play a news channel for a minute. Open the TV guide and see that program names appear. Start one movie from the on-demand section. If all three work, the setup is complete. If not, see the problem list below.

10. Set up favorites and hide clutter

    Press and hold a channel or poster to add it to favorites. Many versions also let you hide or reorder groups in the playlist settings, which makes the 25,000+ channels much easier to browse. These choices are saved on this device only.

11. Decide whether you want premium

    The free tier lets you add a playlist and watch. iMPlayer also sells a premium tier through the app, which the developer says unlocks extra features. It is paid to the developer, not to ZorbaIPTV, and the price can change. Check the official site or the app store listing for current details.

12. Add the login on your other devices

    Install iMPlayer on the next device and enter the same three details. Your ZorbaIPTV plan covers one, two, three or five screens playing at the same time. If a new screen refuses to play, stop playback on another device and try again a minute later.

Picture pausing or slow to start? Check these first

• Your connection: nothing beats a network cable. On wireless, choose the 5 GHz network and keep the router no more than a room or two away.
• Other traffic at home: large downloads, game updates and cloud backups all share the same line. Pause them while you watch.
• The app: close it fully and reopen it. If the player has a buffer setting, raising it one step can help.
• The device: restart the stick, box or TV. Small streaming sticks run better after a fresh start.
• The channel: some channels come in more than one version. Try another, then tell us which one gave you trouble.

Common iMPlayer setup problems and how to fix them

Login failed or invalid credentials

Retype the username and password by hand, minding capital letters and hidden spaces. Then make sure your account end date has not passed.

Cannot reach the server

The server URL needs http:// at the front and the port number at the end, with nothing after the port. Do not swap http for https unless our message says https.

The guide is empty

Guide data loads after the channels. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the playlist in Settings. Check the device clock and time zone if times look shifted.

The app asks for premium to continue

Some features sit behind the premium tier, which the developer sells. Basic playback of your playlist should not need it. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we tell you what the screen means.

A channel plays sound with no picture

Try another version of the same channel in the group. If your version offers a player or decoder setting, switch it, test and switch back if nothing changes.

Too many connections

Every screen playing at the same time uses one slot from your plan. Stop playback on another device, wait a minute and try again.

I cannot find iMPlayer in my store

Your device may not be supported yet, or the store lists it under a slightly different name. Check the official iMPlayer website, or use another player from our guides with the same login.
